On the lonely roads of North Carolina, two men forge an improbable friendship that will change both of their lives forever.
Solo is a Senegalese cab driver working to provide a better life for his family and William is a tough Southerner with a lifetime of regrets. One man’s American dream is just beginning, while the other’s is rapidly winding down. Despite their differences, both men soon realize they need each other more than either is willing to admit and, as they pass their time together a third presence – the unspoken question of what William is about to do – haunts their journey. In their unlikely but unforgettable friendship, Director Ramin Bahrani explores the passing of a generation as well as the rapidly changing face of America.

A very moving, thoughtful film. One of those stories that seems drawn on a real life experience.
Brilliant acting and direction. I’m inspired to see more from Ramin Bahrani
If you get the chance, see it!
